Wizkid praises fans for their support, promises to drop new music soon
On Wednesday, the musician revealed on his Instagram account that he would soon be releasing a new song or album.
The Grammy-nominated performer, who is notorious for constantly hoarding music and missing agreed-upon album release deadlines, might be giving his fans something to hold onto very soon.
Remember that the singer stated that he planned to release his album ‘More Love, Less Ego’ earlier this month, but that did not materialise and has not taken any major push towards release until now.
However, the superstar’s official disc jockey, DJ Tunez, just announced a collaborative EP with the singer named “cruise control,” which is set to be released on Friday, August 26th, 2022.
In an update of events, today, August 17th, 2022, the father of three took to his Instagram page to make it known that indeed the fans will be getting new music very soon.
While speaking to fans and announcing that the upcoming project’s release date is quickly approaching, Big Wiz referred to himself as “popsy”.
“2 years since my last release and we still getting to it! Appreciate the love.

This new achievement has made Wizkid and Tems continue their rapid rise to the top of African music royalty.
Billboard confirmed Wizkid and Tems’ ‘Essence’ had set a new and unrivalled chart record in an official announcement on Friday, August 12, 2022.
‘Essence’ became the first and the only song to spend a year in the top 10 of the Billboard R&B/ Hip Hop airplay chart.
