Nigerian American rapper, Wale responded to a Nigerian who scolded him over embracing his root and supporting his Yoruba brother, Wizkid.

Nigerian American rapper, Olubowale Victor Akintimehin better known by his stage name Wale responded to a Nigerian who criticized him for his post about Wizkid.

The rapper had posted series of pictures of himself and Wizkid chilling after his surprise performance at Wiz’s ongoing Made In Lagos Tour in the United States of America.

He captions one of the photos, ‘Yoruba’ and another one ‘Starboy different’.

After the post, a user identified as James Jimmy immediately called him out over the post.

According to Jimmy, if an Igbo celebrity hailed his or her tribe as Wale did, the Yorubas will waste no time in dragging the person through the filth.

Wale Reacted, informing the guy that his tweet was not to create problems between the two ethnic groups.

According to Wale, it’s not a competition, and Nigeria is open to all citizens of Nigeria. To avoid seeing achievements as a competition, he asked Nigerians like James to always be there for one other and support each other no matter what.
