Victony has quickly dominated the Nigerian music industry
Victony in less than 1 year has quickly dominated the Nigerian music industry.
Anthony Ebuka Victor, better known by his stage name VICTONY, is a 20-year-old Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter who is from the Orsu local government in the Imo state, and here is how he quickly dominated the Nigerian music scene.
He was born on January 5, 2001. At the Federal University of Technology Owerri, he is currently pursuing a B.Eng. in Petroleum Engineering (F.U.T.O).
Victony was engaged in an automobile accident in 2021 that nearly cost him his legs and left him confined to a wheelchair for several weeks.
Despite this setback, Victony was still able to release a number of well-received singles during the year, including “Pray” and their hit collaboration with Mayorkun, “Holy Father.”
He also worked on the dance single “Nataraja” with Grammy-winning producer Rexxie.
Victony believes that music is the best medium for communicating in the modern world. He plans to spread his art widely in 2022 and wants to use music as a tool to change the world.
Victony released a mixtape on SoundCloud named “The Outlaw King” in 2017, which served as the official beginning of his musical career.
He began by only being a rapper, but as he improved, he also became a more dynamic artist, which enables him to convey the full range of his flexibility by seamlessly switching between genres like R&B, Trap, and Afropop.
He rose to the top of the Nigerian music scene because of his hook on Mayorkun’s “Holy Father,” which also brought him recognition and support from the public and critical accolades.
Victony, a musician from Lagos, made his COLORS debut by giving a powerful performance of his most recent track, “Many Man.”
Victony always includes personal elements in his songs; this single is no exception. The young virtuoso’s vocals stand above the delicate piano melodies and understated percussion beats.
