The last month of the year 2020 is almost over, and without an inch of doubt, our Nigerian artistes deserve all the accolades they get despite the lockdown by releasing their extended playlists (EP).
Mp3bullet has put together a list of the top Nigerian EPs in 2020 according to their ‘hit-ness’ and streams on Audiomack.
Omah Lay- Get Layd:
Omah Lay tops our list for number one EP of the year 2020.
Following the release of his successful debut single “You”, the Port Harcourt born Afro-fusion artiste decided to bless us with a 5-track EP released on May 22nd.
Without any doubt, do we agree that all the songs on the Get Layd EP are hits, but the “Bad Influence” distinguished itself by carving a niche and becoming the success story of the EP.
With over 30 million streams on Audiomack, ‘Bad Influence‘ became the highest viewed song on the EP so far.
So far, the EP has had over 98 million streams on Audiomack.
Bella Shmurda- High Tension:
OneWord Global record artiste Bella Shmurda is one of the few artistes to bless his fans with the 7track EP titled “High Tension” in the early weeks of 2020.
High Tension was released on January 27, and so far has generated over 58million streams on Audiomack.
The High Tension EP became a stepping stone for Bella Shmurda with the hit song Vision 2020 remix ft YBNL boss Olamide.
However, it is imperative to note that Vision 2020 was released in 2018 and it put him in the spotlight.
He did the remix with Olamide in 2019, and this has generated him a lot of recognition and award nominations.
So far, Bella Shmurda has been part of Olamide‘s album and Davido‘s album.
Omah Lay- What Have We Done:
“What Have We Done” was released on the 19th of November as the ‘Godly’ singer’s second EP debut of the year 2020.
Following the success of the first EP Get Layd, there was every certainty ‘What have we done’ will be hugely accepted in the music industry and pave more way for the singer.
Mp3bullet’s has it on record as number 3 on top Eps of 2020, because of its commercial success and stream numbers on various music streaming platforms.
Audiomack records a total of 29.2 million streams so far.
The single that paved the way for the EP is ‘Godly’.
Godly has recorded a total of 10.2million streams on Audiomack.

Zinoleesky- Chrome Eccentric:
Zinoleesky is one of Nigeria’s fast-rising leading singers.
Signed into the Marlian Music, the singer has been showcasing his talented and brilliant music skills.
Without any doubt, being nominated for the Headies Rookie 2021 is a recognition worth his impact in the industry.
He released his debut EP Chrome Eccentric on the 13th of December, with the hit single Ma Pariwo paving the way for the EP’s success.
Chrome Eccentric has had over a 22million streams on Audiomack and Ma Pariwo the hit single dominates with 15million streams.
Popular ‘Lagos Boyz’ singer and boss of YBNL Nation Olamide surprised his fans in the first quarter of 2020, by releasing a 9track (EP) titled ‘999′.
The hip-hop project ‘999’, was the first body of work Olamide produced in 2020.
This is before the release of his album Carpe-Diem, which is arguably one of the best albums in 2020.
So far, ‘999’ on Audiomack has had 20.9million streams.
“Wonma” is arguably the hit single of the (EP) raking over 4millionn streams.
Reekado Banks- Off The Records:
Former Mavins Records artiste Reekado Banks surprised his fans with a 7track list (EP) titled “Off The Records” on the 27th of November.
“Off The Records”, had in its tracklist ‘Rora’ which was a song officially released on September 5, 2019.
Rora had been a groundbreaking song way before the release of Off The Records, so it is undoubtedly the leading single of the (EP) with over 12million streams on Audiomack.
Off The Records itself had a recording of 16.6million streams on Audiomack.
Fast-rising talented singer Oxlade debuted his EP Oxygene which enlist 6 tracks & a collabo with Nigerian/U.K Singer, Moelogo.
His EP was one of the first EPs to be dropped in the first quarter of the year on March 27 and still made it Mp3bullet‘s top 10 EP list.
This shows the level of mastery in creativity and production of the EP.
Talking about the hit song of Oxygene, “Away”, made the breaking point for the EP with over a 6million views on Audiomack and 2.4million views on YouTube.
Oxlade‘s Oxygene also recorded a whopping 16.6million streams on Audiomack.
Mohbad- Light (Imole):
Another Marlian Music artiste made it to our top 10 Eps of 2020.
Mohbad aka Imole hit the music industry with another sensational extended playlist in the midweek of this month.
“Light”, as it is titled, has a compilation of 8 hit songs.
Ponmo being the star track in the playlist featured his record label boss Naira Marley and Yagi boss Lil Kesh.
It also records over 8million streams out of the 16.3million streams the (EP) has generated on Audiomack.
Zlatan- Road to CDK:
The Zanku lord has just made it to our top 10 Eps in 2020.
Recall when announcements were made in May about his new project to be released the following month, well the project titled “Road to CDK” did not disappoint upon its release on June 19.
The (EP) has a tracklist of 5 songs delivered professionally.
Upon its release, Road to CDK has recorded over a 16million streams on Audiomack, making it number 9 on our list.
The Matter, which happens to be the hit song has an outstanding 5.09million stream.
Wande Coal- Realms:
Nigerian Afropop phenomenon Wande Coal or Black Diamond as he is fondly called delivered a 7tracklist (EP) on September 10.
Black Diamond has been an exceptional artiste that has been consistent in delivering beautifully professional music for over 10 years.
He has bagged quite a number of awards and recognitions to his name.
He currently holds the 10th position of the top Nigerian Eps of 2020, with a 14.8million streams on Audiomack for his project Realms.
