Coal was born on October 18, 1985, to Chief Ibukun Olufunto and Omolara Oluwayemisi Ojosipe in Lagos Island, Lagos State, Nigeria. He is the first son of two children.

Coal attended Staff Nursery and Elementary School at Ijanikin, Lagos State for his primary education, and then he continued his secondary education at Federal Government College in Ijanikin, Lagos State.

Then he said he went to the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Lagos State, to study Curriculum Studies.
