DMW’s first lady, Suliat Modashola professionally identified as Liya has released her debut body of work under her imprint titled, Alari (EP).
The build-up of this project is 6 orchestrated and well-produced Afrobeats songs with a feature from her boss, Davido.
Additionally, Alari which literally translates to “stand up”, is the composition of soft melodious tunes, sung in high spirit, both in her local dialect Yoruba and in English.
On “Adua” and “Olodumare,” she riffs in Yoruba across twinkling production while crooning softly about her experiences, before switching things up on the upbeat “Lakiriboto” and “Alari.”
