Davido Reminisces on Clocking 10yrs in Nigerian Music Industry »

Dami Duro Crooner David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has taken to his twitter handle to reminisce on clocking ten years in the Nigerian music industry this year.

Davido who is arguably one of the top artists in the Nigerian music industry had been doing music since 2010 but broke into the Nigerian music scene in 2012 when he released his hit single, Dami Duro.

Revealing that he started his music career at the age of 17, Davido who is also the nephew of famous politician Ademola Adeleke has attained a great feat in the Nigerian music scene.

Davido who received multiple certifications from Sony Music West Africa (SMWA), after three of his projects, hit platinum benchmark, also has several awards to his name in his 10 years music career.

Hitting Double platinum with his Risky track, Davido’s Good Time album and Blow my mind did not miss out on his platinum list.

Having 4 Albums in total, the OBO originator who has several other singles has won a total of 28 awards in his 10-year career.

Announcing his Ten Years in music, Davido tweeted:

It’s crazy I’ll be 10 years in the industry this year !!!! not bad at 27

In ten years Davido also has a record label to his name (Davido Music World Wide) with talented artists like Peruzzi, Mayorkun, Dremo and Idowest.

Davido who cofounded HKN music with his elder brother left HKN to create his own record label (DMW) in 2016, and has since then been one of the most popular music artists in Nigeria
