Popular Nigerian Afrobeats artist Divine Ikubor, known professionally as Rema, has praised and referred to his senior colleague Augustine Miles Kelechi, better known as Tekno, as a legend.

The prince took to his Twitter account to acknowledge Tekno’s accomplishments in the music industry.

He said that although people continue to applaud musicians who are setting records in the music industry, they should also make an effort to applaud others who haven’t gained much notoriety but are still giving it their all.

Rema shared a photo of Tekno and captioned it: “LEGEND

The “Calm Down” crooner added:

“As we celebrate the first to do it & the best to do it. Let’s also celebrate those who just… Do it 🤷🏾‍♂️”


In other news, Rema has made history once more as the music  for his international hit song “Calm ” surpasses 400 million views on YouTube, becoming the first ever Nigerian music  to do so.

According to reports, Rema’ Calm  tune is the first Afrobeat to achieve such a feat.

The song “Calm ” is from Rema’ debut studio album, Rave and Rose, which was released earlier in 2022.

The record artist also dropped a remix with American singer , and as of 2022, that had amassed the highest streams of any Afro-beat song.

Recall that not too long ago, reported that Calm  was awarded 3x Platinum certification in  after selling 240,000 units.

The certification was issued on the 24th of February, 2023 and was also issued a double Platinum on the same day.
