Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, has stated why he is backing the re-election attempt of the Lagos state governor Babajide Sanwo Olu.

The head of Marlian Music claimed that Sanwo-Olu is the ideal candidate for the position and that he made significant progress during his first term in office.

According to the ‘Tesumole‘ singer, the current Governor has the experience to take Lagos state to new heights.

Naira Marley made it clear that he does not favour the APC, PDP, or LP but does think that the governor of Lagos has done enough to merit a second term.

He noted that the reason he is supporting the APC governorship candidate is that the situation in Lagos does not call for any experimental candidates while also disclaiming that he had not been compensated.

“Nigerian civilians, I am not APC, I’m not PDP, I’m not LP, I got say, I just got to say one or two things inside this thing, you get me. I am not a fan of Politics or like that but where Lagos is going right now yeah, I don’t think we need to testing you know, we don’t need t start testing, we don’t need to start testing at all.

I think Sanwo- Olu is the right man, is the right person for the job I’m not gonna lie to you. This is not a paid promo but just looking out at he’s done. Common guys, look at he has done, he has achieved a lot, the result are there , and he also has the experience you know, if it left to me, I know he is going to move Lagos forward, you can tell and look at the result, actions speak louder than words, obviously, all the ongoing projects, common bro. “
