According to reports, Newcastle United have agreed on a fee with Everton for Anthony Gordon. The two clubs have agreed to a base price of £40 million, with add-ons that might bring the total cost of the transaction to £45 million.
Personal terms still are now being discussed as Gordon’s move to St James’ Park edges closer.
Gordon, who arrived at Everton’s training ground on Friday morning, made it clear to the club that he intended to depart within the current transfer window.
The 21-year-old had not shown up for the previous three days, despite Newcastle’s increasing efforts to recruit him.

According to Sky Sports News, the forward was not present on Tuesday owing to a planned absence but did not appear on Wednesday and Thursday due to unforeseen reasons.
According to sources, he did not train with the rest of his teammates at Finch Farm on Friday, but Everton insists he did.
Gordon is regarded by Newcastle as a versatile front-line player who can play in a variety of positions.
Eddie Howe’s side were rebuffed with an inquiry in the summer but have retained an interest.
Chelsea and Everton had important discussions on Gordon’s availability during the summer transfer window.
At the time, Chelsea was willing to spend £60 million to lure him to Stamford Bridge and was considered one of Thomas Tuchel’s top targets.
