Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper has reportedly agreed to join Nottingham Forest, and Forest are currently negotiating a deal with PSG.

The Costa Rican shot-stopper has reportedly accepted Forest’s offer after much deliberation, according to the French publication L’Equipe.

The 36-year-old is clearly close to leaving the French city, but an agreement has not yet been reached because both teams are still negotiating a final fee and the specifics of a deal.

Following Dean Henderson’s recent thigh injury, Forest is in need of a new goalkeeper, and because the Englishman is only on loan from , Navas‘ planned arrival might address both issues.

Navas, who has 18 months left on his contract after moving from Real Madrid to Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, has played in 108 games across all competitions while recording 50 shutouts.

Even though Navas has been a regular in the Parisians’ lineup for the duration of those four years and is now well into his 30s, losing the Costa Rican international wouldn’t be catastrophic given that the Ligue 1 giants also have Gianluigi Donnarumma at their disposal.
