Manchester United is one of the football clubs Nigerian artists support and some of the Afrobeat acts have visited its stadium, Old Trafford to watch them play.

Old Trafford is the home stadium of Manchester United and is located in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. With a seating capacity of 74,310, it is the largest club football stadium in the United Kingdom and the eleventh-largest in Europe.

Old Trafford, often known as “The Theatre of Dreams”, has served as Manchester United’s home stadium since 1910, albeit due to Second World War bomb damage, the team temporarily shared Maine Road with nearby rival Manchester City from 1941 to 1949.

In the 1990s and 2000s, Old Trafford underwent a number of expansions, including the installation of additional levels to the North, West, and East Stands, nearly restoring the stadium to its original seating capacity of 80,000.

Old Trafford has hosted two FA Cup Final rematches, an FA Cup Final, and semi-final matches of the competition on a regular basis.

Additionally, it has hosted England games, matches from the 1966 World Cup, Euro 96, and the 2012 Summer Olympics, as well as the 2003 Champions League Final and women’s international football for the first time ever.

In this post, we are going to look at the Nigerian artists who not only support Manchester United but have visited Old Trafford to watch them play.
