Bayern Munich still interested in signing Harry Kane.
Bayern Munich remain interested in signing Harry Kane
Bayern Munich have not given up hope of signing Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, according to reports.
Spurs head coach Antonio Conte was incensed by this and referred to the Bavarians’ pursuit as “disrespectful.” Senior Bayern officials have not concealed their enthusiasm in subsequent interviews.
While reports in the German media have stated in recent months that Bayern felt their hopes of signing Kane were dwindling, 90min understands that he is very much still one of their main transfer targets.

The summer of 2024 will mark the end of Kane’s contract at Tottenham. While negotiations for a potential new contract are still ongoing, Spurs are sure that their vice-captain will sign on. However, he is rumoured to be extremely dissatisfied with the team’s current slump, having won just five of their past 12 Premier League games, which may come up during talks.
Kane’s team has not yet ruled out moving abroad, despite Bayern’s recognition that it may be challenging to convince the striker to transfer to Germany given that he is on track to surpass Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League scoring record in the coming years.
In terms of a potential transfer fee, Bayern are believed to value Kane in the same ballpark as Robert Lewandowski, who was sold to Barcelona last summer for a total package of €50m.
Die Roten do recognise that Kane is younger and would cost a bit more as a result, however.
If Manchester United maintains its upward trend and makes the Champions League, Kane may choose to stay in England by joining them.
The Red Devils recently signed Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley as a short-term solution to their striker woes.
