Shakira’s diss track mocking footballer, Pique breaks YouTube record.
Shakira’s diss single, in which she subtly mocked her ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique, smashed the record for Latin YouTube views.
After her public breakup with former Barcelona star Gerard Pique, Shakira opened out about how she felt in the diss tune. The singer went off on her ex-boyfriend, even making fun of his 23-year-old girlfriend Clara Chia.
She said in the song ”I was out of your league that’s why you’ve settled for someone just like you. I’m worth two 22-year-olds. You swapped a Ferrari for a [Renault] Twingo/You swapped a Rolex for a Casio.”

Over 107 million people have viewed the song on YouTube since it was posted on January 12th. The song is now the most-watched new Latin music in YouTube history after garnering 63 million views in 24 hours.
Having been together for over ten years, and having two sons together, this is the third song Shakira has written about their breakup.
They were never wed, and Shakira didn’t give Pique any of her reputed $300 million inheritance.
