Eight players were shortlisted for the Premier League Player of the Month award after producing outstanding performances in November/December 2022.

Fans and football lovers have voted for their favourite via the EA SPORTS website for the Premier League Player of the Month award.

The public vote has been combined with those of  panel of football experts to decide the winner, who will  revealed earlier today.

After the voting was combined Arsenal star, Martin Odegaard won the November and December EA SPORTS Player of the Month award.

Odegaard wins the award after league-high six-goal involvements in November and December.

Arsenal captain Odegaard becomes only the second Norwegian to win the accolade, after Manchester City’s Erling Haaland earned the August 2022 prize.

Odegaard spearheaded Arsenal’ for the league title as Mikel Arteta’ team jumped out to a seven-point lead.

The midfielder had the most goal involvement of any Premier League player in November and December with three goals and three assists.

Odegaard, 24, is the first Arsenal player since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in September 2019 to get the honour.

Casemiro, Haaland, Ben Mee, Joao Palhinha, Marcus Rashford, Bukayo Saka, and Kieran Trippier were among the other eight players on the shortlist that he beat out.

Odegaard won when a panel of football experts’ opinions and votes from the public on the EA SPORTS website were added together.

On his award, he said:

“It feels great. I’ve said a lot of times this team has a lot of young, hungry players and we play so well with each other, so it’ just a pleasure to be here and to be part of what we’re doing now.

“It’ a pleasure to play with them and show my qualities so I’m very happy to get this award.”
