The Premier League has confirmed and unveiled the full official list of nominees for the player of the month award for November/December 2022.

Following a competitive month of November/December 2022, the premier league’s organizers have released a comprehensive list of nominees for the player of the month award.

The league chose these football players after weighing up their enormous contributions to their respective club teams during all of weeks in November and December 2022.

This list was released earlier today, January 5, 2022, on the official website of the Premier League.

After putting in excellent performances throughout November and December, eight players have been shortlisted for the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award.

The public vote and the votes of a panel of football experts will be combined to determine the winner, who will be revealed the next week.

Shortlist of  players:

  • P4 W3 D0 L1 G0 A1 Casemiro (MUN)

The Brazilian was a pillar of strength in the middle of Manchester United’s midfield, guiding them to victories over Fulham, Nottingham Forest, and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Another assist came from Casemiro.

  • P4 W2 D1 L1 G4 A0 Erling Haaland (MCI)

The Manchester City forward scored four goals in November and December, which was the most of any Premier League player. He scored -winning goal in stoppage time against Fulham, and with a brace against Leeds United, he set a record for the quickest player to achieve 20 Premier League goals. Against Everton, he also scored.

  • P4 W2 D2 L0 G0 A1 CS1 Ben Mee (BRE)

The Brentford centre-back helped the club to some outstanding results as they claimed a stunning 2-1 win at Man City, London rivals United and claimed a draw against Hotspur, climbing into the top half.


  • P4 D0 L0 G3 A3 Martin Odegaard (ARS)

The captain of Arsenal led by example to give his team a seven-point lead at the top of the standings. The most goal involvement of any Premier League player during this time came from Odegaard in November and December, when he scored three goals and provided three assists.

  • P4 W2 D0 L2 G1 A0 Joao Palhinha (FUL)

Central midfielder Palhinha produced authoritative displays in Fulham’s four matches, including a 3-0 success at Crystal Palace. He scored a late winner as the Cottagers finished 2022 with a victory over Southampton.

  • P4 W3 D0 L1 G2 A1 Marcus Rashford (MUN)

The Manchester United maintained his stellar performance from the FIFA World Cup 2022, scoring one goal and setting up another in the 3-0 victory over Forest, and scoring -winning goal against Wolves.

  • P4 D0 L0 G2 A1 Bukayo Saka (ARS)

The 21-year-old scored pivotal goals in Arsenal’s pursuit of the title, netting the equaliser in a 3-1 win against West Ham, and scoring the opener in the 4-2 win at Brighton & Hove Albion. He also set up the only goal in a victory at Chelsea.

  • P4 W3 D1 L0 G0 CS3 Kieran Trippier (NEW)

The captain of Newcastle United has shown both his offensive and defensive prowess. In victories over Southampton and Leicester City, he provided assists, aiding his club in maintaining three clean sheets in four games.
