At the 2022 World Cup, Uruguay and South Korea battled to a scoreless draw in their opening match of Group H.

Diego Godin and Fede Valverde both missed the goalpost during Uruguay and South Korea’ opening Group H match at the Education City Stadium.

Son-Heung Min, the captain of South Korea, was forced to play with a face mask after breaking his eye socket earlier this month, but the Hotspur forward was unable to make much of an impression.
