In the latest explosive revelation from Cristiano Ronaldo’s interview with Piers Morgan, the Manchester United forward has now criticised the Glazers and claimed they ‘do not care’ about the club.
The Portuguese superstar gave a lengthy 90-minute interview during which he criticized United’s management, claimed they were attempting to get rid of him and declared he would “never respect” manager Erik ten Hag.
The interview wasn’t broadcast in its entirety until later in the week, and United said in a statement on Monday that they would “consider their response until the complete facts have been confirmed.”
The Red Devils are contemplating terminating Ronaldo’s contract and will almost probably punish him for two weeks, or pay almost £1 million.
The 37-year-old attacking the Glazer family’s ownership of the club and making it obvious that he believes they are more interested in money than results on the field, Ronaldo will have increased the risk of incurring their fury with his most recent remarks.
Speaking once again on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Ronaldo said: ‘The owners of the club, the Glazers, they don’t care about the club. I mean, professional sports.

‘As you know, Manchester is a marketing club, they will get money from the marketing. The sports they don’t really care about, in my opinion.’
Asked if he has ever spoken to any of the Glazers since returning to United and how involved they are, Ronaldo responded: ‘Never. They give all the power to the presidents [board members], sporting director.’
The Glazer family’s ownership of United has received plenty of criticism from fans and pundits alike, with the club not putting up a genuine title challenge in nearly a decade – since Sir Alex Ferguson left the club – while Old Trafford is in dire need of major refurbishment.
There have been an increasing number of protests against the Glazers in recent years and there was a big push to see the club sold over the summer, with Ronaldo now lending his voice to those calls.
Asked if he agrees with the anti-Glazer supporters, Ronaldo replied: ‘The fans are always right. I think the fans should know the truth.
‘They should know that the players want the best for the club, I want the best for the club – this is why I came back to Manchester United. This is why I love this club.
‘But you have some things inside the club which don’t help Manchester United reach the same top level as City, Liverpool and even now Arsenal for example. This is complicated, it’s difficult, it’s hard. In my opinion it will be hard for Manchester to be in the top of the game in the next two or three years.’
