Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has revealed the number of times he has undergone surgery for skin cancer on his face. He claims to have undergone multiple skin cancer surgeries.

The Bayern and Germany shot-stopper Neuer has revealed that he has been diagnosed with skin cancer on his face, for which he has undergone three operations.

The German international, who just launched a skincare line with tennis player Angelique Kerber, has spoken out about his current health problems.

“We both have a very personal history when it comes to skin diseases. Angelique has sun-induced hyperpigmentation and in my case skin cancer on my face, which I’ve had to operate on three times,” he said in a press release.

After missing time with a shoulder injury since Bayern’s Bundesliga tie with Dortmund at the beginning of October, Neuer is about to return to the club.

Though Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed he might play against Hertha Berlin on Saturday, Germany fans had feared the No. 1 for the national team might not be available for the World Cup in Qatar, which begins later this month.
