Copyright Infringement: Blaqbonez reveals he sampled Asa on a song off his upcoming album

Blaqbonez confesses that he used a sample of Asa on an upcoming song.
Blaqbonez has taken to Twitter to report himself to Nigerian singer, Asa on sampling her song for one of his forthcoming songs.
The singer took to Twitter to drop a snippet of the song in question which is titled “I’d be Waiting”.
In the caption, he revealed that he sampled her classic on the outro of his forthcoming album and his team will be reaching out to her’s for clearance.
In his words;

The sample in question of from Asa’s classic, “360” song which is off her self-titled debut album released in 2007.

Blaqbonez’s confession comes after Joeboy reacted to the copyright infringement notice that was sent to him by award-winning singer Asa.
The notice purportedly sent to him by Asa’s camp has not been presented to the sensational Joeboy.
On August 19, 2022, The singer dropped his second single of the year, an afro-fusion song called “Contour” that was created by renowned beatmaker Tempoe.
A few weeks after the song’s debut, Joeboy was allegedly served with a notice alleging that Asa’s copyright had been violated by the song “Contour.”
According to the letter, “Contour” infringed the copyright of a musical composition that Asa created during a recording session on September 22, 2022, with Tempoe in attendance at that said session.
The notice, which was served on September 30th, demanded that Joeboy remove the song from all digital platforms within twenty-four hours, issue a written apology, pay N300 million, and assign Asa a sixty-percent publishing split.
On Monday, October 3, 2022, Joeboy shared the letter on his Instagram page and simply laughed it off. The singer continued by urging Asa to act after receiving the notice.
