Nigerians React As Dammy Krane Calls Out Davido For Unpaid Debt Of 2017
Oyindamola Johnson Emmanuel, also known by his stage name Dammy Krane, criticised superstar musician Davido for failing to pay him royalties on a song.
He claimed that Davido had neglected to give him credit for co-writing the 2017 smash single Pere, which featured American rappers Rae Sremmurd and Young Thug.
On Monday, September 19, 2022, Dammy Krane used his Twitter account to confront the DMW frontman and owner, demanding payment for co-writing the hook of Davido’s 2017 hit “Pere,” which featured American rapper Young Thug and group Rae Sremmurd.
According to Dammy Krane, he tried to contact Davido’s team about a split sheet and unpaid invoices but received no response, so he called Davido out on the Bird app.
He stated that he did not want to resort to calling him out online but he was left with no choice because he didn’t get any response despite private appeals.

He also shared a screenshot of Davido’s tweet from 2017, where he revealed that Dammy was among the songwriters.
”Shoutout @dammy_krane !! Co wrote the hook on PERE with me!!” the DMW boss tweeted.
He further asked the ‘FIA’ hitmaker to send him the money that’s due him for co-writing Pere.
Dammy wrote; ‘‘My Blooda @davido Run the check ???? I don reach out to people over the years based on split sheet & outstanding, No response , we no gats Dey get this convo here ????????”

In an earlier tweet, the songwriter threatened to call out certain “rich guys” owing him money.
“All my rich guys wey dey owe me money, today na Monday o. Abi make we bring am come ‘The Supreme High Twitter Court’ #Eshe,” he wrote.
Pere, a single that featured American hip-hop stars, Rae Sremmurd and Young Thug, was released by Davido in 2017.
