Orlando Julius to be laid to rest on May 28.

Julius Ekemode, also known as Orlando Julius, died on April 14 at the age of 79 and will be laid to rest on May 28 in his hometown of Ijebu Ijesha in Osun.
This was stated by Bimbo Esho, general director of Evergreen Musical Company, on Sunday.
Ms Esho stated that a Christian wake would be held in Oke Agboja, Ijebu Ijesha, on May 27.
“A burial ceremony will be held at St. Matthew Church in Ijebu Ijesha on Saturday, May 28. “This is based on the notification the family sent to me today,” she explained.
Confirming the report, Orlando’s widow Latoya Ekemode shared a poster of the burial arrangement on Instagram on Monday.
“Love and Legends Never Die. This one weak me,” she captioned the post.
Born in Ikole in Ekiti State, Orlando Julius was a native of Ijebu-Ijesha in Osun State.
Ekemode was an afrobeat musician who performed as a saxophonist, singer, bandleader, and songwriter.
Some of his albums included Disco Hi-Life, Ololufe, Love, Peace and Happiness, Dance Afrobeat, etc.

He was a contemporary of the late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, even claiming that it was because of him that the latter learnt to play the saxophone.
Orlando relocated to the United States of America in 1974 where he met his Chicago-born wife through Ambrose Campbell.
The couple returned to Nigeria in the late 90s, settling in Lagos before moving to Ilesa.
Orlando died at age 79.
