    The art of collaboration is as important as the art of producing a song in the music industry. It is a natural way of working – part of what makes us humans – and the music industry does it best.

    One of the most important collaborations is with other artists. This adds to one’s experience and sources of inspiration and gives a musician the chance to expand his/her work to a different kind of genre.


    Lord of Ajasa ft 9ice- Le Fenu So

    Le Fenu So, is a song by Nigerian musician Lord of Ajasa, taken from his album, “Second Turning By the Right”, released in 2008. It features singer, 9ice.


    Mo’hits all-star ft D’banj, Wande Coal, Don Jazzy – Pere

    The track “Pere” is a single off defunct Mo’Hits 2007 album titled “Curriculum Vitae” and the track featured Don JazzyD’Banj and Wande Coal.


    EME Ft Wizkid, Skales – Baddest

    “Baddest Boy” is a song by former E.M.E acts WizkidSkales, and their former boss, Banky W. It was released on April 2, 2012, serving as the lead single from the label’s compilation album Empire Mates State of Mind (2012).



    Wizkid ft Wande Coal- For Me

    Wizkid and Wande Coal have always had great chemistry and this didn’t just begin after both acts shared the stage at Wizkid’s sold-out show which was held at the Royal Albert Hall, rather, this chemistry goes as far back to Wizkid’s debut album Superstar which was released under the EME imprint in 2011.

    The song which they collaborated is titled “For Me”.


    2Shotz ft Timaya – In case you never know

    Former Nigerian rapper turned Filmmaker, 2Shotz features Timaya on this classic rap song, “In case You never Know”. It was released in 2008.


    Essence ft Jaywon – Facebook Love

    Nigerian Female Singer, Essence was well known for her tremendous voice. She released “Facebook Love” in 2013 featuring former label mate, Jaywon.

    The song tells the story of online dating and uses the popular social media app, Facebook as its case study. It’s considered as one of the best Nigerian Pop collaborations.



    Sound Sultan ft 2Baba – Bushmeat (Ole)

    Sound Sultan teamed up with 2Baba to produce the politically charged song, “Bushmeat”. The song talks about when situations get reversed and how people who are being bullied stand up their bullies.


    Flavour ft Tiwa Savage – Oyi (Remix)

    Highlife singer, Flavour released a love song “Oyi” in 2011, then released a remix of the song with Tiwa Savage.

    The Remix did so well in the music scene that it surpassed the original. The two artists showed great chemistry on the song.



    Ice Prince ft Brymo – Oleku

    Former Chocolate City rapper, Ice Prince broke into the limelight with “Oleku” in which he features his then fellow label mate,  Brymo.

    The song was the lead single off his debut album, “Everybody Loves Ice Prince. The song became one of the most remixed song of all time. It was released in 2010.



    9ice ft 2Baba- Street Credibility

    9ice dominated the music industry when he released his second studio album, “Gongo Aso” in 2008. The album produced hits like “Gongo Aso”, “Photocopy”, “Kind Life”, “Party Rider”, “Wedding Day” amongst others.

    His collaboration with 2Baba also known as 2Face on “Street Credibility” is seen as the best collaboration in history of Nigeria Music.

    Across three verses, 2face and 9ice delivered not just a catchy song with a solid hook, but also beautiful and meaningful lyrics.
