The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH branch of Academic Staff Union of Universities announce it has called of the protracted strike action involving the teachers and other workers of the university.
Students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomosho will return to their classrooms on Monday for the first time in six months.
The decision to put the strike on hold was reached at the congress held today at the Mani campus of the institution in Ogbomoso.
Details of the meeting are still scanty as at the moment of writing this report but it was learnt that they lecturers agreed to return back to class base on assurance from the management and the governing council that their salary arrears and other issues that led to the strike will be resolved.
It would be recalled that the lecturers embarked on the industrial action in April shortly after the end of first semester examination.
